The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) has officially announced the venue and dates of its upcoming poker tournament in March.
Entitled “The First PAGCOR Chairman Efraim C. Genuino International Poker Tournament”, the event will be held from March 20-25, 2010.
Days 1A to 1C, Day 2, and Day 3 will be held at the Manila Pavilion Hotel on United Nations Avenue in Manila. The final table, however, will be at the SMX Convention Centre, where the 5th Asian Gaming and Entertainment Expo will be taking place.
Players from the Philippines and around the world are expected to attend the tournament, which will have a guaranteed prize pool of US $1,000,000. Buy-in for the event is set at US $2,500 + US $200.
For those looking to play without directly buying in, satellites are currently being held at poker rooms all over the Philippines.
The tournament was first announced last December by Attorney Emily Padua at the Filipino Poker Tour (FPT) Metro Anniversary Special tournament in Manila. Click here to get the full story.
