Poker players looking for a whole new experience can head over to the Resorts World Manila (RWM) casino in the Philippines, which recently opened the doors to its poker room.
Currently featuring six cash game tables, the month-old RWM poker room may seem like a typical small poker room at first glance. However, it is set inside the glamorous RWM casino, giving players the feel of playing poker in Las Vegas or Macau.
The smallest blind levels at the RWM poker room are set at Php 50 / Php 100, a significant difference from the Php 10 / Php 20 minimum that many poker rooms in the Philippines offer.
Most nights, though, the stakes go much higher. Plenty of high-rollers from Hong Kong, China, Korea, and other countries can often be seen playing in the poker room, filling up three to five tables late at night until early into the next morning.
Playing well will win you a lot at the RWM poker room, but playing often also helps, too. Regular players at the poker room can accumulate points through the RWM casino’s loyalty program, which offers perks such as complimentary meals and free parking. Poker-specific promotions, such as bad beat jackpots and free chip bonuses, are currently not available.
The RWM poker room is located in the luxurious Resorts World Manila complex, just across from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3. Aside from the poker room and casino, the RWM building comes complete with a luxury hotel, upscale shops and boutiques, and a variety of restaurants.
