Macau Poker Challenge

Poker enthusiasts in Macau this weekend will be in for a treat as the Poker King Club at the StarWorld Casino will be holding a HK $200,000 guaranteed tournament this Sunday.

The tournament, entitled the Macau Poker Challenge, will be held this March 7 at the ballroom of the StarWorld Hotel and Casino in Macau. Buy-in for the HK $200,000 guaranteed prize pool event is set at HK $2,500 + HK $200.

The Macau Poker Challenge will be an Asian Poker Tour (APT) accredited event.

The last tournament held at the Poker King Club was the Asian Poker King Tournament from January. A total of 174 players signed up to play in the event, exceeding the HK $750,000 guaranteed prize pool and bringing the total prize money to HK $870,000.

The event, which was also APT-accredited, was won by Korean player Il Wong Yoo, who was awarded the HK $284,200 first prize and a Corum Royal Flush Automatic Special Edition 2006 watch.

The Macau Poker Challenge tournament will be held on the final day of the Macau Poker Cup (MPC) tournament at the PokerStars Macau poker room at the Grand Lisboa casino.

Players who are unable to advance to the final day of the MPC will be able to join the Macau Poker Challenge for a second chance at a big poker win over the weekend.

The Poker King Club is located on the third floor of the StarWorld Casino in Macau. For more information, read the Asia PokerNews feature on the Poker King Club. You may also visit their web site by clicking here.
