The Poker King Club's second-ever Macau Poker Challenge took place this past weekend and it was Michael Marvanek who came out on top.
The Australian poker pro bested a field of 78 players in the HK $250,000 guaranteed event to take home the title.
Incidentally, Marvanek is a member of the Poker King team, which represents the Poker King brand at tournaments all over the world.
The decisive hand came during Level 19 with Marvanek up against Junwoo Oh. Holding pocket eights, Oh shoved only to have Marvanek call with pocket tens. Another ten came on the board, giving the hand to Marvanek.
For the win, Marvanek took home a shiny new trophy and HK $89,000 in prize money. Meanwhile, Oh was awarded HK $48,000 for his runner-up finish.
In addition, Marvanek joins the ranks of Weng Hong Hoi, the Hong Kong player who won the first Macau Poker Challenge earlier this year.
