It will be a week full of exciting poker in Manila as the Asian Poker Tour holds its annual major event in the country: APT Philippines 2010.
Players from all over the world will be at Resorts World Manila all throughout the next seven days as they try to unseat defending champion Neil Arce in the US $2,700 main event.
Fans will have plenty to cheer for as a large cast of big-name players are expected to play in the main event. According to the APT's website, those who have already confirmed include two-time WSOP champion Johnny Chan, Poker Pack members J.C Tran, Nam Le, and Quinn Do, and renowned players such as John Juanda, Team PokerStars Asia Pro Bryan Huang, Poker King's Winfred Yu, and David Steicke.
For those looking for some side event action, APT Philippines 2010 offers plenty of that, too. A total of nine side events will be taking place during the course of the week, including a high-rollers event, a Pot-Limit Omaha event, a "Greed" event, a bounty event, a team event, and even a ladies event.
APT Philippines 2010 will be held from August 23 to 29 at the Resorts World Manila complex in Manila, Philippines. The main event will start on Wednesday, August 25. Buy-in for the main event is set at approximately US $2,500 + US $200.
