Event 1: $1,100 No Limit Hold'em

Jim Sachinidis Caught

Things didn't go to plan for Jim Sachinidis to the tune of 48,000 recently.

With three-way action on a {5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop an early position player checked to Sachinidis who fired out 12,000. Frank Pezzaniti made the call from late position, with the other player folding.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and Sachinidis bet out 40,000 with Pezzaniti moving all in for another 8,000 on top. Sachindis made the committed call, glumly tabling {j-Spades}{8-Hearts} for just a gutshot straight draw.

Pezzaniti had {9-Spades}{8-Clubs} for top pair and a gutshot draw of his own.

The hand dropped Sachinidis to 23,000 and he just past the media desk making a hasty exit, so we'll assume those chips no longer belong to him either.
