Alan Nicholls Eliminated in 2nd Place (AUD $20,000); Roland Hawkins Wins!

Roland Hawkins raised to 80,000 before the flop and Alan Nicholls called from the big blind to see a flop of {4-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, which both players checked.

The dealer produced the {6-Diamonds} on the turn; Nicholls checked, Hawkins led out for 100,000 and Nicholls called before the river {5-Diamonds} came down.

Nicholls then snap-shoved, Hawkins snap-called.

Hawkins: {a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Nicholls: {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}

Both players rivered a hand; Nicholls had two pair, but Hawkins had the nut flush! It's over ladies and gentlemen, we have crowned the 20th Aussie Millions champion of 2010!

Hawkins Dominating

Roland Hawkins is dominating this final table and catching an amazing run of cards, crippling Alan Nicholls down to just 240,000 in the process.

Nicholls limped in preflop from the button and Hawkins checked to see a flop of {9-Spades}{j-Spades}{5-Hearts}.

Hawkins checked, Nicholls led out for 30,000 and Hawkins called before the {3-Clubs} came down on the turn.

Hawkins check-called Nicholls' bet of 50,000 before both players checked the river of the {3-Spades}.

Nicholls showed {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} for two pair but Hawkins tabled {7-Spades}{4-Spades} for a rivered flush!

Hawkins is now in cruise control, up to 1,010,000.

Nicholls Takes the Chip Lead ... Briefly

Roland Hawkins raised to 50,000 from the button and Alan Nicholls called to see a flop that read {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{7-Spades}.

Nicholls check-called Hawkins' bet of 50,000 before both players checked the turn of the {3-Clubs}.

On the river {9-Spades}, Nicholls checked, only to call after Hawkins open-shoved and the cards were tabled:

Nicholls: {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Hawkins: {k-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Nicholls took the pot down and took the chip lead, but then lost it two hands later.

Nicholls called Hawkins' all-in bet before the flop with {a-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, only to find himself behind Hawkins' {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{7-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{k-Hearts}, and Nicholls is down to 509,000 while Hawkins is on 741,000.

Fred Chaptini Eliminated in 3rd Place (AUD $15,000)

Fred Chaptini open-shipped from the button before the flop for his last 70,000, only to be called down by Alan Nicholls.

The cards were revealed; Chaptini showed {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} but was well behind Nicholls' {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

Chaptini found some hope when the flop came down {7-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, but the {k-Spades} on the turn was the wrong kind of black.

Just one club would do it for Chaptini, but the river ran red in the form of the {5-Hearts}, eliminating him in 3rd place and we are now heads-up between Nicholls and Rowland Hawkins!
