Steicke Wins a Monster Before Dinner

David Steicke is now sitting atop the leaderboard with 38,000 in chips after a monster three-way hand that took place just before the dinner bell rang.

An unknown third party opened the pot with a raise. Steicke then three-bet and Barny Boatman capped it. Both the unknown and Steicke called.

The flop came down {6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and Steicke checked to Boatman who led out with a bet. The unknown player called and when the action returned to Steicke, he check-raised. Both of his opponents called, bringing the action to the turn -- {6-Clubs}.

On 4th Street, Steicke led out with a bet, Boatman called and the unknown player released his hand, sending the action heads-up to the river -- {5-Clubs}.

Steicke fired one last bet on the end and Boatman called, prompting a showdown at which point Steicke tabled the winning hand -- a pocket pair of nines. Boatman showed {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} before sending his cards into the muck.

After the hand, Boatman was left with 16,000 in chips.
