Moaref is the Bubble Boy

From the small blind, Emad Moaref raised to 3,900. James Obst was in the big blind and reraised to 10,500. Moaref moved all in and Obst made the call.

Moaref was the at-risk player holding {Q-Hearts} {J-Diamonds}. Obst held {A-Diamonds} {J-Hearts} and was in dominating position to send everyone home for the night.

The flop came down {A-Hearts} {K-Clubs} {2-Hearts} and Obst added a pair of aces. The door wasn't shut on Moaref though, as he picked up a straight draw to broadway.

The turn card was the {Q-Diamonds} and now Moaref could chop with a ten or win with another queen. But it wouldn't be in the cards for the shorter-stacked Moaref when the {9-Clubs} peeled off on the river.

Obst's pair of aces were best and he sent Moaref home on the bubble to end the night. Obst finished with 194,600 chips.

Benson's Set Gets No Action

Gary Benson raised from under the gun and Shane Warne called in the big blind. The raise size was unknown.

The flop came down {Q-Spades} {9-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} and Warne checked. Benson fired 2,600 and Warne fodled.

"You're too smart!" yelled Benson to Warne, showing that he flopped a set of nines. It's too bad for him that Warne didn't have a hand he could've got paid from.

Benson is up to 49,000 and Warne down to 48,000.

Karamalikis Hits The Rail

Florian Langmann limped in the small blind and Jonathan Karamalikis checked his option.

The flop came {4-Hearts} {A-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} and Langmann lead out for 1,500. Karamalikis made it 4,600 and Langmann made it 13,000. Karamalikis then pushed all-in and the German called.

Langmann: {A-Hearts} {4-Clubs}
Karamalikis: {6-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}

The turn was the {J-Spades} and the river the {Q-Diamonds}, the Australian ring-winner missed his straight draw and Langmann's two pair held.

We're now on the bubble.

Choppy Waters

Jonathan Karamalikis raised to 2,700 from the cutoff, Emad Moaref called on the button and Nicolas Fazollari called from the big blind.

It was checked to Karamalikis on the {7-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} flop and he bet 5,000. Fazollari called and then called 9,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn. Both players checked and both turned over {J-?} {7-?} for a chopped pot.

Myung Out

John Myung moved all in for his last 12,000 chips and Manny Stavropoulos called. Myung held the lesser of the two hands, but still held two live cards in the {Q-Hearts} {9-Spades}. Stavropoulos had {A-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}.

The flop gave hope to Myung after the {9-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {2-Clubs} fell, pairing up his nine. But, just as the dealer giveth, thou shall taketh away. The turn card was the {A-Clubs} and that just about closed the door on Myung. The river couldn't save him when the {2-Hearts} fell and Myung was eliminated just a few spots short of the money. Stavropoulos moved his stack to 46,000.

Beat On The Brits...

The last two British players have just been systematically eliminated from this event.

Michael Greco pushed all-in from UTG with {A-?} {K-?} but lost out to Mike Watt's {J-?} {J-?} after being unable to spike.

Dan Carter went broke, reraising all-in with {A-Diamonds} {3-Spades} against Florian Langmann's button raise to 2,600. Langmann instantly called with {Q-Clubs} {Q-Hearts} and won after a {10-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {7-Hearts} {K-Diamonds} board.
