From the small blind, Sorel Mizzi raised to 325,000. Chip leader Tyron Krost was in the big blind and put in a reraise to 850,000. After a minute in the tank, Mizzi released his hand and Krost was pushed the pot.

[user68268]
Frederik Jensen limped from the small blind and Sorel Mizzi checked in the big blind. The flop came down {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Jensen fired 125,000. Mizzi made the call.

The turn was the {A-Hearts} and both players checked. The river was the {K-Spades} and both checked again.

Mizzi tabled {4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for the winner and Jensen mucked.

Half a Day Gone

[user68268]
As the clock ticks past 2:00 a.m. here in Melbourne, the final table has now lasted over 12 hours long. That's half a day of straight poker (minus the dinner break) and we're still three-handed. At least the rest of the world will be able to follow the event during the normal hours of the day.

Another Pot for Krost

[user68268]
Tyron Krost raised to 300,000 from the button and Sorel Mizzi called from the big blind. The flop went check-check after the {K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. The turn added the {K-Hearts} and Mizzi check-folded to a bet of 500,000 from Krost.

A big pot just brewed between Tyron Krost and Frederik Jensen after Jensen raised from the button to 250,000 and Krost called from the big blind.

The two players went to battle on a flop of {5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Krost checked and Jensen fired 300,000. Krost made the call.

The turn card added the {8-Clubs} to the board and Krost checked again. Jensen fired 650,000 this time and Krost called, creating a hefty seven-figure pot.

After the {9-Hearts} on the river, things slowed down with a check from both people.

Krost tabled {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a pair of nines and Jensen mucked. Krost is up to 7.5 million now.

Action folded to the small blind and Frederik Jensen raised to 550,000. Kosta Varoxis was in the big blind and made the call, leaving himself with only 150,000 behind.

The flop came down {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Jensen fired 150,000 to put Varoxis all in. He made the call and the cards were on their backs.

Varoxis: {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs}
Jensen: {2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

The turn was the {10-Diamonds} and now Varoxis needed an eight, a six or an ace. The river couldn't fufil his dreams when the {2-Spades} hit the felt, improving Jensen to a set of twos. Varoxis was sent to the rail in 4th place, earning $450,000 AUD for his finish.
