The turn was the {2-Hearts} and Jensen checked. Obrestad seized the opportunity and fired 217,000. Jensen folded and Obrestad added some chips to her stack under the bright lights of the feature table.

Sorel Mizzi raised from the small blind to 65,000. Kosta Varoxis reraised all in from the big blind for 659,000.

Dan Shak - 11th Place
Dan Shak - 11th Place
The dream series for Dan Shak has come to an end. Shak was the winner of the $100,000 Challenge for $1.2 million AUD and just added an 11th-place finish in the Main Event to his impressive Aussie Millions.

Shak raised from the utoff seat to 50,000 and Peter Jetten called from the button. Sorel Mizzi called from the big blind.

The flop came down {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and action checked around. The turn brought the {10-Spades} and Mizzi fired 100,000. Shak raised to 300,000 and then Jetten folded. Mizzi reraised all in and Shak called.

Shak: {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}
Mizzi: {K-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

"I'm drawing dead," announced Shak, as he stood from his seat and gathered his belongings. The river card was then dealt just to make things complete with the {Q-Clubs} to add insult to injury.

He earned $100,000 AUD for his deep run and Mizzi moved up to 4.2 million.

'The Big Show' Finally Canceled; 12th Place ($100,000)

Steve Topakas
Steve Topakas
Steve 'The Big Show' Topakas has used up his ninth life and has just been eliminated from the main event by Annette Obrestad.

Frederik Jensen opened the pot with a raise to 40,000 from under-the-gun and Topakas, next-to-act, moved all in over the top for a total of 112,000. Action then folded around to Obrestad in the small blind who reraised, making it 215,000 to play. Jensen released his hand and Obrestad and Topakas revealed their cards:

Obrestad: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Topakas: {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The board then ran out {3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{A-Hearts} and there'd be no miracles for Topakas this time around, as he joined the rail our 12th place finisher.

After the hand, Obrestad stacked up 1.9 million in chips.

[user68268]
Tyron Krost raised to 40,000 from the cutoff seat and Frederik Jensen called from the button. The flop came down {7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Krost fired 55,000. Jensen called.

The turn was the {4-Clubs} and both players checked. After the {9-Hearts} on the river, Krost fired 140,000. Jensen tanked and then called with the {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}. Krost mucked his hand.

Krost Picks One Up

[user68268]
