Cautious Opening Stages

Tobias Reinkemeier raised to 80,000 and Oliver Busquet called.

Both players checked the {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} {5-Spades} flop before Busquet fired out 100,000 on the {6-Diamonds} turn to take the pot.

A couple of hands followed where a minraise from one of the players was enough to take the pot.

Reinkemeier then raised to 80,000 and Busquet called once more. Busquet then check-called another 80,000 on the flop of {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} {2-Spades} but he folded when Reinkemeier fired 160,000 on the {5-Clubs} turn.

The German still has the advantage and there has not been any 3-betting so far.

First Blood to Reimkemeier

Tobias Reinkemeier min-raised from the butotn and Olivier Busquet called to see a {K-Clubs} {3-Spades} {9-Clubs} flop which both players checked.

Busquet bet out 80,000 on the {5-Hearts} turn and Reinkemeier called, so they proceeded to the river - a {3-Diamonds}. Busquet now checked to Reinkemeier who though about it for a while before betting 185,000. Busquet folded without much fuss, and Reinkemeier extended his lead.

Dori Yacoub Eliminated in 3rd Place (€358,000)

Yacoub - 3rd place
Yacoub - 3rd place
Dori Yacoub raised his small blind to 85,000 and Tobias Reinkemeier called in the big. They saw a flop.

Flop: {6-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {2-Hearts}

Yacoub bet out 115,000 and again Reinkemeier called. Onwards.

Turn: {K-Hearts}

Yacoub bet out another 160,000, and once more Reinkemeier tossed in the call. So, to the river.

River: {J-Clubs}

Yacoub now moved all in for 453,000. Reinkemeier took off his sunglasses as he squirmed and wondered what to do. Eventually he called.

Yacoub: {2-Clubs} {8-Spades} for jacks and deuces
Reinkemeier: {K-Spades} {10-Clubs} for kings and deuces

Ladies and gentlemen, we are heads up.

Busquet Lets His Emotions Show

Olivier Busquet limped in in the small blind and Dori Yacoub checked his option in the big.

They saw a {9-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {K-Clubs} flop and Busquet bet out 55,000; Yacoub made the call and they saw a {9-Hearts} turn which they both checked. Come the {7-Hearts} river Busquet checked again and then when Yacoub bet 200,000, Busquet sighed deeply and after some brief huffing and puffing folded {K-Clubs} {10-Clubs} up.

Busquet, Reinkemeier Continue To Spar

Tob-la-owned
Tob-la-owned
Oliver Busquet raised to 65,000 and Tobias Reinkemeier called from the big blind. The flop was {Q-Diamonds} {2-Hearts} {Q-Spades} and Reinkemeier check-called a bet from 80,000.

Both players checked the {5-Spades} turn before Reinkemeier led out for 175,000 on the {8-Spades} river. Unexpectedly, Busquet now raised to 700,000 which Reinkemeier clearly wasn't expecting.

"Wow, I was bluffing the river, but now..." said Reinkemeier, clearly thinking that his bluffing hand might be ahead of Busquet's hand. But the German couldn't make the call and he folded, handing the chip lead back to Busquet.

Reinkemeier Nudges Into Lead

Olivier Busquet made it 65,000 from the button, but Tobias Reinkemeier re-popped to 200,000 from the big blind. Busquet passed, and Reinkemeier put just a little distance between his stack and Busquet's.
