Ninety-Nine, I've Been Waiting So Long

• Level 18: 3,000-6,000, 500 ante
Shrinking tournament area
Shrinking tournament area

The number on the big board has ticked down to 99 players remaining, and we're breaking inwards into a small grid in the very corner of the room. The number is ticking down quickly, and we've still got a full three levels to play today.

We'll set the over/under at 55.5 players left by the end of the night.

Pagano Holds For the Knockout

Kevin Bromfield raised to 13,000 from the button, and Luca Pagano three-bet to 43,500 next door. When the decision came back around to Bromfield, he shoved his short stack in, and Pagano called the remainder to put him at risk.

Showdown
Bromfield: {Q-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}
Pagano: {A-Diamonds} {10-Clubs}

Pagano was poised for the knockout with his dominating ten, and the {J-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} board sent Bromfield on his way. Pagano's been very active today at the featured table, and his stack has been up and down like a yo-yo. It's up again now, and the sharply dressed Italian is back over 450,000.

Two Outers FTW

[user101598]

Artem Kachnyy opened near the button, and Chad Eveslage three-bet shoved for 68,000 more than the original raise. Kachnyy went into the tank for quite some time, but eventually made the call. Eveslage turned over {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, and Kachnyy rapped the table then turned over {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}.

The {2-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} flop was clean, but the {3-Spades} spiked on the turn, giving Kachnyy a set of threes. The {6-Hearts} on the river was a brick, and Eveslage was sent packing. Kachnyy is now among out leaders with well over 700,000 chips.

Shiff Wins Flip

[user101598]

After a series of preflop raises, Daniel Shiff was all in against Cristian Folescu, and over 450,000 chips were in the middle.

Showdown
Shiff: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}
Folescu: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} flop pushed Folescu into the lead, but the {j-Hearts} slammed on the river, giving Shiff a full house. The {9-Hearts} bricked on the river, and Shiff gave a hearty fist pump. Folescu dipped to around 520,000 chips, while Shiff shipped a nice double.

Fitzgerald Storming Up the Board

Alex Fitzgerald is on a tear here during Day 3, and he's just sent another player packing in a chip-average-sized pot.

We picked it up on a {J-Diamonds} {Q-Clubs} {8-Clubs} flop, heads-up between Fitzgerald and Osman Mustanoglu. Fitzgerald check-raised from 20,500 to 44,000, and Mustanoglu flatted to see the {Q-Spades} on the turn. Fitzgerald slowed back down now with another check, but he snap-called Mustanoglu's 90,000-chip shove.

Showdown
Fitzgerald: {Q-Diamonds} {J-Spades}
Mustanoglu: {Q-Hearts} {7-Hearts}

Mustanoglu was drawing dead to a chop, and the river {8-Hearts} was all she wrote.

A Winner for Weiss

[user101598]

Gani Weiss open-shoved his last 70,000 or so from middle position, and the action folded all the way to Day 1b chip leader Alex Venovski in the big blind. Venovski tanked for nearly two minutes before cutting out enough chips to make the call, and sliding them forward.

"King-queen?" Weiss asked him.

"No," Venovski responded. "Ace-eight."

Venovski turned over {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, and Weiss tabled {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}.

"Ah, f***," Venovski muttered.

The board ran {6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, and Weiss doubled to around 150,000 chips. Venovski is still around average with 290,000 chips.

Andrew Lichtenberger

In blind-on-blind action, Phil D'Auteuil and Andrew Lichtenberger got all of the money in preflop. D'Auteuil held pocket jacks — {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} — in the small blind and Lichtenberger held pocket deuces — {2-Diamonds}{2-Spades} — in the big blind.

The board ran out {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{K-Clubs} and Lichtenberger hit the rail. D'Auteuil is now up to 1.32 million in chips.

Reynolds Coolers Peters

[user101598]

The action folded all the way to Alex Casals on the button, and he opened to 13,000. Stephen Reynolds moved all in for 101,500 from the small blind, and David Peters quickly re-shoved for nearly 250,000. Casals folded without thought, and the hands were turned over.

Showdown
Reynolds: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Peters: {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

"Get the cameras!" Reynolds yelled as the dealer waited for the 'OK' run it out.

She was eventually allowed to deal, and the board ran {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, doubling Reynolds to 210,000 chips.
