Roger Hairabedian opened for 3,000 from middle position only to have Flavius Puica move all in from the cutoff for 12,500. Dan O'Brien then moved all in over the top from the big blind for 17,000, and Hairabedian made the call.
Puica held the worst hand preflop, but the flop delivered him two pair and changed all that. It also gave O'Brien the lead on the smaller side pot. Neither the turn not river changed a thing, and Puica tripled while O'Brien claimed the side pot of approximately 9,000.
