Up and Down

Alex Loon

Alex Loon won a big hand to double earlier but lost a significant portion to Victor Chen a few hands later.

On the first hand, it was Alex going all-in pre-flop with {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and getting a call from the bigger stacked button, who showed {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}.

Alex was in big trouble but the flop made sure he stayed alive as it came {2-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

The turn and river blanked out and Alex saw his chips climb to over 40,000.

A few hands later, though, Alex lost some of it in a confrontation with Victor Chen. On a board of {9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Alex bet out about 6,000 and got a call from Victor.

Both players checked the {5-Hearts} river and Alex could only muck as Victor tabled {k-}{10-}.

Alex is now at about 26,000.
