Up and Down for Carlos Chang

Carlos Chang

Pre-flop, after Carlos Chang had made a raise, the short-stacked button went all-in and so did the small blind. Carlos made the call and the cards were tabled:

Carlos: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Button: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}
SB: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

The button hit on the flop of {7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and put a stranglehold on the hand as the {k-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

The river blanked out, tripling up the button while the small blind won the side pot with Carlos.

Undeterred after losing 10,000 off that hand, Carlos was at it again a few hands later with {a-}{k-} against an opponent's {j-}{k-}.

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Carlos knocked out the all-in player while seeing his own stack climb to 75,000.
