Johnny Gets a Win Stolen Away

[user133555]
Johnson Tan

On a flop of {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Johnny Tan bet 100,000 and was raised by Percy to 250,000. Johnny made the call.

The two then proceeded to check the {a-Diamonds} that came on the turn as well as the {a-Hearts} that landed on the river.

When the cards were tabled, Johnny showed {q-}{10-} for the flopped two-pair, while Percy showed {q-}{j-} for the flopped top pair.

The problem? This wasn't the flop - because of the aces that came on the turn and river, Johnny's initial two-pair was counterfeited as both players ended up with an ace-queen two-pair.

Since Percy's jack was the higher kicker, the pot ended up going to him, much to Johnny's chagrin.
