Another Exit: Zheng Gone (35th, HK$17,200)

Richard Ko
Richard Ko

We caught up with Richard Ko who called Andy Zheng's preflop all-in shove.

Zheng: {A-Spades}{3-Spades}

And just like that Richard hit his flush leaving Zheng's pair of aces dominated. The turn {4-Diamonds}and river {4-Clubs} blanked out and it's time for Andy Zheng to pack his bags.

Ko, the lone Filipino survivor in the tournament adds some more ammo for today's expected long grind.

First Bust Out: Lin Gone (38th, HK$17,200)

Devan Tang
Devan Tang

Devan Tang made a large bet preflop only to see Ping Lin go over the top and go all-in. Tang did not think twice as he showed the cowboys.

Tang: {k-}{k-}
Lin: {A-}{Q-}

Needing an ace to survive, Lin would not get it at the flop {5-Spades}{K-Spades}{7-Diamonds} which pushed Tang's lead even further.

The turn {8-Hearts} and river {7-Spades} blanked out on Lin as he got booted out of the tournament.

Early Double-up for Nam Le

Nam Le
Nam Le

Preflop action continued in one of the early hands today as Nam Le went up against Masanori Yoshimida.

Nam Le: {6-}{6-}
Yoshimida: {J-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}

The suited connectors looked good but still Le's small pair was leading. The flop {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} did not provide any help for Yoshimida however. And the turn {8-Diamonds} and river {10-Hearts} did not cooperate as well.

The sixes double up Nam Le and now totals to around 43000.
