After two Day 1s, we are now ready for Day 2 of Resorts World Manila Inaugural Poker Championships!

The eight levels of poker action trimmed a field of 149 players down to 57 who will contend for the coveted prize.

Korean player Jeon Seung Soo, a familiar face in the Asian poker circuit, leads today’s batch of hopefuls with a total of 65,000 chips.

The total players in both Day 1s reached 269 making a very attractive PhP 2,690,000 prize pool. This increase in prize pool means 27 players will be in the money. The minimum pay-out will be PhP 26,900 and The champion will take home PhP 860,800 plus a one night stay at the luxurious six-star Maxims Hotel courtesy of the Resorts World Manila.

We have lost many notable players in both start days like APT Champion Neil Arce, FPT Champions Kent Del Rosario and Vic De Guzman. However, the field tomorrow remains exciting with players such as Mark Rivera, TPC Champion Mark Pagsuyuin, and several players from Pilipinas Poker including Allan Barreto and George ‘BuddhaGeorge’ Lim.

Start time for Day 2 is also at 2:00 pm. See you all tomorrow!

Cris Ramarayat was in middle position when he raised to 3,000. The player on the button moved all-in. Cris instantly called the shove.

Both players showed their cards and Cris's {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} was ahead pre-flop against the button player's {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

The board {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} gave Cris top pair with top kicker to bust out his opponent.

Ricky "Tiktak" De Leon
Ricky "Tiktak" De Leon
Ricky "Tiktak" De Leon has been quiet for awhile. And just like a patient predator waiting for his prey, waited for his chance to double-up.

Ricky pushed his remaining 20,000 stack with pocket eights. His lone caller showed his {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs} putting Ricky's medium pockets still in danger.

The board showed {3-?}{A-?}{3-?}{8-?}{7-?} that doubled up Ricky's chance of making it to day two of the tournament.
