Mark Pagsuyuin Wins The Poker Circuit: Plugged In! (Php 200,000 + Php 125,000 + Php 48,000)

Mark Pagsuyuin is the champion!
Mark Pagsuyuin is the champion!
We have a winner here at the Big Ace Liberty Club!

Pre-flop, Bong shoved all-in with his remaining 800,000 or so in chips.

Mark, looking at the pot odds, made the call.

Bong: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Mark: {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

Bong was ahead pre-flop and it stayed that way on the flop of {q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.

However, the turn produced a {q-Diamonds} and the river was a {9-Spades}, counterfeiting Bong's two-pair as Mark took down the pot and the title with Q-9 two-pair, ten kicker.

Mark wins Php 200,000 in cash, a PAGCOR Chairman's Cup seat worth Php 125,000, and a seat to the Asian Poker King tournament in April worth HKD $8,000.

Meanwhile, Bong wins Php 105,000 and a PAGCOR Chairman's Cup seat for his runner-up finish in the event. It is still a great achievement as he outlasted a field of great players, especially the tough final table.

Congratulations to Mark Pagsuyuin, the winner of The Poker Circuit: Plugged In!

Thanks to the Big Ace Liberty Club, all the players, and all the sponsors who participated in event.

See you all next time!

Bong Still Alive

Bong Gloria
Bong Gloria
After transferring most of his stack in a previous hand to Mark Pagsuyuin, Bong Gloria just doubled up to more than 900,000.

"All In" said Mark after Bong limped into the pot.

Bong called and tabled his {4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} while Mark turned over his {k-Spades}{8-Clubs}.

Flop: {j-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{5-Spades}

Mark was ahead until the turn {4-Clubs} gave Bong a pair. The river {a-Clubs} kept Bong's tournament alive.

Almost the End of the Line?

Mark Pagsuyuin
Mark Pagsuyuin
Mark Pagsuyuin has just doubled-up in the biggest hand of heads-up play so far.

Pre-flop, Bong bet 300,000 and Mark then went all-in. Bong thought for a while and made the call.

Mark: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Bong: {q-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, keeping Mark ahead in the hand.

Bong picked up extra outs, though, as the {10-Diamonds} came on the turn.

However, the {2-Clubs} was not the card that Bong needed, giving Mark the big win and crippling Bong's stack at about 470,000.

Big Money for Fourth Pair

An interesting hand just developed between the two remaining players.

Pre-flop, Mark raised 250,000 and Bong Gloria called.

Flop: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

Bong checked and Mark bet 150,000, getting a call from Bong.

Both players then quickly checked the {6-Hearts} turn.

River: {2-Diamonds}

On the river, Bong bet 250,000. After taking a long time to think, Mark decided to make the call but pretty much knew he was beat.

Bong showed {q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} while Mark showed the {6-Clubs}, saying that he had a lower kicker.

Norbert Koh Eliminated in Third Place (Php 125,000 + Php 50,000)

Norbert Koh
Norbert Koh
We are down to heads-up play after our latest elimination.

Pre-flop, Norbert Koh moved all-in from the button with his remaining stack.

"Is that a move or a favour?" asked Mark Pagsuyuin in the small blind.

He made the call and when Bong Gloria got out of the way, the cards were tabled.

Mark: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Norbert: {q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

Norbert was indeed just making a move but was still drawing with live cards.

However, nothing came for him as the {3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} blanked out for both players, busting Norbert out in third place.

For the win, Norbert wins a PAGCOR Chairman's Cup seat worth Php 125,000 and Php 50,000 in cash.

Ron Regis Eliminated in Fourth Place (Php 42,000)

Ron Regis
Ron Regis
Pre-flop, Norbert Koh raised to 200,000 from under the gun. Ron Regis then went all-in with his stack of 655,000 only to have chip leader Bong Gloria re-raise with his entire stack as well.

Norbert got out of the way and the cards were tabled:

Bong: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Ron: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Ron was basically hoping for an ace but got a straight draw as well when the flop came {10-Hearts}{q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}.

However, it was not meant to be as the turn {4-Clubs} and river {5-Clubs} blanked out for Ron, sending him to the rail in fourth.

We are now down to the final three. Anyone eliminated from here on out will be awarded a PAGCOR Chairman's Cup seat.

All In, Call But Split

Ron Regis
Ron Regis
After the flop {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}, Ron Regis pushed his stack of 570,000 beyond the betting line.

Mark Pagsuyuin tanked, started to mention the possible hands that Ron may have and made the call turning over his {k-Spades}{2-Spades} against Ron's {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}.

Ron was still ahead on the turn {10-Hearts}. But the river {5-Hearts} split the pot between them.
