Who's Going to Be Here Later?

Spotted lurking at the rail, not permitted to take their seats until level 2 owing to late registration:

Marcel Luske and Jon Turner.

Table of Doom

We have located the table with the highest average doom level in the tournament.

Seat 2: WSOPE bracelet winner Erik Cajelais
Seat 4: occasionally remiss Lakers owner Jerry Buss
Seat 6: 2009 EPT San Remo finalist Dragan Galic
Seat 8: exuberant Costa Rican Team PokerStars Pro Humberto Brenes

Of these four, Brenes seems to have had the best start so far.

"Look at this!" Galic said, pointing to the sizable stack of red 5-denomination chips in front of Brenes, topped with a little plastic shark. "This is a shark tower!"

Who's Here So Far?

Now that play is underway, an impressive number of big names have quietly sidled into this event and taken their seats.

Huck Seed has just sat down, as have Annette Obrestad, Marco Traniello, David Singer, Bryan Micon and Erich Kollmann.

Furthermore we have Jennifer Harman, Eric Cajelais, Cindy Violette, Eric Baldwin, Ylon Schwartz, Dragan Galic, Bryan Devonshire, and Stuart Rutter in the house.

This is looking like it's going to be fun.

We've Got At Least One Lakers Fan in the House

Los Angeles Lakers' owner Jerry Buss has been spotted in today's field. Sure, his team might be about to kick off of game four of the NBA championships, but he'll be able to watch it on TV - that is, if he wants to. Buss famously missed last year's championship parade held for his team so he could play poker at the Commerce Casino.

If all goes well for Buss and his Lakers they could both win a title this weekend.

Welcome to Event #21: $1,500 Seven Card Stud!

Welcome back to the 2010 World Series of Poker for Event #21: $1,500 Seven Card Stud

Last year this event took place slightly earlier in the schedule (Event #16) and drew 359 entrants. It was eventually won by Jeff Lisandro, who pocketed $124,959 for his efforts. It was Lisandro's first bracelet of the three he would go on to claim during the 2009 Series on his road to winning the 2009 Player of the year.

We'll be sure to report on whether Lisandro enters in an attempt to win back-to-back bracelets in the same event, as well as which other notable players will thrown in $1,500 for a shot at WSOP glory. There's a lot going on in the Amazon Room and the Pavilion today, so it's anybody's guess as to how many contestants we'll get.

Make sure to stay tuned to PokerNews as we provide live coverage of Event #21 from 5:00pm PST.
