Runner-Runner Lead for Roy

[user80015]

In a three-bet pot the flop came down {10-}{8-}{5-} and both Greg Roy and Brandon Meyers found all their chips in the middle with Roy at risk.

Roy: {k-}{k-}
Meyers: {10-Spades}{8-Spades}

With Roy needing to find a king, five or running cards for a bigger two-pair, he would hit the latter when the turn and river landed a {3-} and a {3-}.

Roy is now the clear chip leader with 124,000 as Meyers slips to 18,000 in chips.

Straight Down the Bloch

[user153638]

Allen Kessler has been moved to Table 35, the same table as Andy Bloch.

It was in a recent hand that Bloch bet 3,500 on a board of {7-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. His sole opponent from the small blind called. The small blind then checked the {5-Clubs} on the river and Bloch followed suit.

The small blind turned over {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a straight and Bloch simply mucked. With that hit, he dropped to 40,000.

Final Level

[user80015]

We are now (finally) into the last level of the evening!

130 players until we hit the money, but it's an unlikely result at this stage!

Chidwick All In

[user153638]

A player raised from early position, Steven Chidwick pushed all in for 8,500 and the original raiser called.

Chidwick: {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Spades}{9-Spades}

Chidwick was in trouble when the flop came {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}. He didn't improve when the {7-Clubs} hit the turn and needed to catch a jack on the river. The dealer burned and revealed the {J-Spades}!

Chidwick took down the pot and doubled to 18,500.

Nine Handed

[user153638]

The tournament staff just announced that the remaining tables will be played nine handed.

De Wolfe Makes a Loose Call

[user153638]

Seat 9 raised to 1,900 and Roland De Wolfe made the call. Action folded to the small blind who moved all in for 7,300. Both the big blind and Seat 9 folded, putting the decision back on De Wolfe.

He grabbed some chips and tossed them into the pot. The small blind showed {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and was ahead of De Wolfe's {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

De Wolfe took the lead when the flop came {9-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{J-Clubs}, but the small blind picked up a flush draw. The {10-Spades} on the turn changed little and the {Q-Diamonds} appeared on the river. This gave De Wolfe two pair; however, it also gave the small blind a straight.

De Wolfe took a small hit to his stack but is still sitting with around 30,000.

Benton Folds To Four-Bet

[user80015]

With around 4,500 in the pot and the board reading {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Aaron Benton fired out 2,600 from the button after his opponent in the big blind checked it over to him.

His opponent thought for a little before check-raising to 7,000 only to have Benton make it 17,200 to go.

Benton was instantly met with an all in for only an additional 6,200 as he was put into the tank.

Several minutes went by as Benton deliberated his decision before eventually folding to leave himself 17,000 in chips.

Stalemate for Pham

[user153638]

A player in Seat 10 raised to 1,900 from middle position and David Pham called on the button. The flop came {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Seat 10 bet 3,100.

After Pham made the call the turn came the {3-Hearts}. This time Seat 10 checked and Pham bet 4,600.

Seat 10 called and then both players checked the {7-Spades} on the river. This is the point where someone would show their hand to win, but neither player wanted to reveal their cards. In fact, the dealer had to call a floor over to determine who was obligated to show first.

As it turned out, Seat 10 was first to show and she flipped over {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Pham then turned over {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} for the same pair but with a better kicker. Pham is up to 56,000.

Williams Walks

[user80015]

Facing a raise from middle position, Jeff Williams moved all in from the big blind.

After some deliberation, his opponent made the call tabling {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs} to be in a race against Williams' {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

The board ran out {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{K-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{2-Spades} to see Williams sent to the rail.
