Forrest Falls

Ted Forrest
Ted Forrest

Ted Forrest opened with a raise, and Raphael Zimmerman made the call from the cutoff seat. Jameson Painter called from the big blind as well, but he would not be much of a factor in this hand.

Forrest drew to a ninety-six on the second draw and stood pat, and Zimmerman stood pat on the final draw as well, turning over {8-} {7-} {4-} {3-} {2-}. Forrest's hand was no good, and his evening has come to a close.

McLoughlin Eliminated

A big pot was just played between Raphael Zimmerman, Ted Forrest and Steven McLoughlin that caused Forrest to be crippled and McLoughlin to be eliminated as Zimmerman moved back to 215,000 chips.

After four bets were put in pre-draw by each player, Zimmerman drew one, Forrest drew one and McLoughlin drew two. Zimmerman bet, Forrest called, McLoughlin raised, Zimmerman called and then Forrest called.

On the second draw, all three players took one card. Action checked to McLoughlin and he fired his last 9,000 into the middle. Both players called.

On the third draw, all three players drew one card apiece. Zimmerman bet and Forrest went into the tank. Eventually, he mucked his hand as was left with just 33,000 chips. McLoughlin was left heads up with Zimmerman for his tournament life.

McLoughlin showed and eighty-seven, but couldn't beat the eighty-six of Zimmerman and was eliminated.

Zimmerman Bests Forrest

Raphael Zimmerman saw his stack slide a little bit in the last little while, but was just able to get some chips back against multi-time bracelet winner Ted Forrest. Zimmerman made a ten-eight again Forrest, who mucked his hand and dropped down to 71,000 chips. Zimmerman moved up to 240,000.

David Baker, David Chiu and Eli Elezra played a pot together where Elezra found all of his chips in the middle. Chiu wound up folding out after the first draw, leaving Baker to do the honors of sending Elezra to the rail.

Elezra made an {8-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}, but couldn't beat the {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} of Baker. Elezra was sent home while Baker kneaded his new 130,000-chip stack.

Number Six

Chris Fargis raised from the cutoff seat and Shunjiro Uchida reraised from the small blind. Fargis made the call. Uchida drew one and Fargis drew two. Uchida then bet and Fargis called.

On the second draw, Uchida drew one and Fargis drew one. Both players then checked. On the final draw, Uchida drew one and Fargis stood pat. Uchida bet and Fargis called. Uchida tabled the {8x]{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and said, "Number six."

Eli Elezra chimed in with surprise, "How the f*** you know that's number six?"

Uchida increased to 213,000 and Fargis dropped to 40,000.

McLoughlin spread the {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} for number three and Zimmerman mucked. McLoughlin doubled to 70,000 while Zimmerman dropped to 200,000.

Siegel Says Goodbye

Jordan Siegel is out of Event #7 courtesy of Leonard Martin. Martin and his big stack made a queen-ten low with {Q-} {10-} {6-} {4-} {3-}, and it was strong enough to knock Seigel out in 16th place.
