Event #57: $10,000 No-Limit Hold'em Championship

Brikis Crippled

Josh Brikis and Christopher Bolt waiting for the river card.

Action folded to Christopher Bolt on the button and he shoved for 785,000. Josh Brikis called from the big blind and had Bolt covered by only 45,000 chips. Brikis held the {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Bolt the {A-Spades}{J-Spades}.

"My turn baby!" yelled Brikis.

The board ran out {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Brikis was crushed all the way down to just 45,000 chips while Bolt doubled to over 1.6 million.

Brikis was all in on the next hand from the small blind. He was up against Jerry Payne in the big blind. Brikis held the {A-Hearts}{J-Spades} and Payne the {9-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

The board ran out {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Spades} and Brikis was able to get back to 160,000.

"One more hand I get to play," said Brikis.
