Cohen Calls Clock... On Herself

• Level 17: 2,000-4,000, 500 ante

After her opponent shoved all-in over her raise, Samantha Cohen went into the tank and thought things over. Eventually, she asked the dealer to call the clock on herself and after a few seconds of counting she folded her {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}.

Her opponent seemed surprised by this move and decided to needle Cohen a bit, showing his {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts} while collecting the pot. Cohen responded to this jab by stating "it's fine, I still have more than twice as many chips as you" while making sure that PokerNews.com knew what had just gone down.

Mizrachi Moving Up

• Level 17: 2,000-4,000, 500 ante
Eric Mizrachi Making Most of His All-In Encounters
Eric Mizrachi Making Most of His All-In Encounters

Eric Mizrachi has been nursing a short stack throughout the latter stages of Day 2, but after his latest double up he can breathe a little easier. After a player in middle position raised before the flop, Mizrachi pushed all-in for 32,000 more and was called by the initial bettor, who tabled the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

The {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} held by Mizrachi needed help to improve and that help arrived in the form of a {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop. A {J-Hearts} on the turn provided his opponent four additional outs in the form of a gutshot straight draw, but a {6-Hearts} on the river was a blank and Mizrachi had doubled up. He now sits with just under 72,000 chips.

Koral Slides

[user80015] • Level 17: 2,000-4,000, 500 ante

Tom Koral has just doubled an opponent up to now sit with just under 30,000 in chips.

All the money went in preflop with Koral's {A-Spades}{9-Clubs} trailing his opponent's {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}.

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} to see Koral ship a large portion of his stack over to his opponent to slip to 28,000 in chips.

In the Frey

• Level 17: 2,000-4,000, 500 ante

A player in early position open-raised for 7,000 and ran into an all-in raise for 32,000. Hunter Frey re-raised all-in for over 300,000 and the original raiser folded.

Frey: {A-}{K-}
Opponent: {A-}{7-}

Frey had a small sweat when the flop came a {3-}{4-}{6-} for a potential gut-shot, but the turn and river bricked, shipping Frey the pot. Frey is now up to 355,000.

Cross Spikes Queens, Eliminates Another

• Level 16: 1,500-3,000, 500 ante

Valerie Cross raised to 8,000 from early position and was met with an all-in raise to 30,000 from the cutoff. Cross asked for a count and then slid out a call.

Cross: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{9-Hearts} board wasn't looking too promising for Cross, but a {Q-Spades} hit the river, pairing her hand and sending her opponent to the rail.

Cross' stack is now among the chip leaders at 325,000.

Cohen Continues Climbing

• Level 16: 1,500-3,000, 500 ante

We just witnessed two hands involving Samantha Cohen and after winning each of them, she now sits among or leaders with a stack of approximately 260,000 chips.

First, Cohen raised to 7,500 from the button and faced an all-in three-bet of 23,500 by a player in the big blind. Her {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs} held up against the opponent's {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} after the board ran out {5-}{4-}{J-}{4-}{2-}.

Just a few hands later, Cohen saw a flop of {2-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} in a heads-up pot. With around 25,000 chips up for grabs both players checked the turn of {6-Clubs} and we saw a river of {7-Hearts}.

Cohen led out for a bet of 25,000 and after a minute or so of deliberation, her opponent made the crying call. Cohen tabled the {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for a rivered two pair and she now sits with one of the largest stacks in the tournament.
