Zachary Kurik has been on fire ever since he doubled through Artem Metalidi. First he spiked the river to eliminate David Diaz, and now he's sent Nick Guagenti to the rail.
We missed the action, but Barry Hutter was kind enough to fill us in on some details. He said it began when Kurik raised from the small blind and Guagenti defended from the big. The flop, which contained two hearts, saw action go bet-call, and then Korik checked the turn. Guagenti bet 13,100, Korik check-raised to 30,000, and Guagenti called.
When a completed the board on the river, Korik returned to checking and Guagenti moved all in for roughly 95,000. Kurik called with for rivered trips, which bested Guagenti's two pair.
Meanwhile, Paul Volpe has also been eliminated from the tournament.
