Vanessa Selbst
Vanessa Selbst

Vanessa Selbst raised to 22,000 on the button, Aaron Jones defended from the big blind, and the flop came {10-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. Jones checked, Selbst tossed out 33,000, and Jones called.

The turn was the {a-Spades}, both players checked, and the duo knuckled on the river ({k-Diamonds}) as well. Jones tabled {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} for a pair of sixes, which Selbst had beat with {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for a pair of jacks.

Ivey Doubles Through Katchalov

• Level 17: 5,000-10,000, 1,000 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

Phil Ivey opened with a raise to 20,000 from the cutoff and it folded around to Eugene Katchalov in the big blind who moved all in. Ivey called all in for his tournament life of 148,000 and the cards were turned over.

Ivey showed {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and was off to the races against Katchalov's {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. The flop came down {J-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Katchalov's sixes remained out in front. That all changed on the turn, however, as the {K-Hearts} struck the felt and gave Ivey the lead with a pair of kings. The {3-Diamonds} completed the board and Ivey secured a double up.

Ivey's stack now sits around 305,000 while Katchalov has fallen to about 110,000.

Fee Can't Trap Selbst

[user101598] • Level 17: 5,000-10,000, 1,000 ante

Ryan Fee check-called a bet of 12,000 from Vanessa Selbst on a flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, and the duo checked on the turn ({10-Hearts}).

The river was the {4-Spades}, Fee checked again, and Selbst rapped the felt as well. Fee revealed {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a rivered straight, and Selbst mucked her hand.

"It's good," she told him, smiling.

Fee chipped up to 860,000, and after winning a handful of small pots, Selbst is still over a million.

Schwartz Doubles Through Schulman

• Level 17: 5,000-10,000, 1,000 ante

Noah Schwartz was under the gun and opened to 23,000. Action trickled all of the way around to Nick Schulman in the big blind. The two-time WSOP bracelet winner cut out a three-bet to 63,000. Schwartz announced an all in four-bet over the top for 255,000 and Schulman quickly called.

Schwartz: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Schulman: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The flop rolled out {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, giving Schulman top two pair but keeping Schwartz in the lead with a set of cowboys. The {8-Hearts} came on fourth street, leaving Schulman hunting for an ace on the river. The spirit of Barry Greenstein was not in the room, however, as the river brought the {7-Diamonds}. Schwartz scored the double and now sits on about 520,000. Schulman, on the other hand, was left with 82,000.

Katchalov Doubles Through Hutter... Twice

[user153638] • Level 16: 4,000-8,000, 1,000 ante

Eugene Katchalov moved all in for 55,000 from under the gun and cleared the field all the way around to Barry Hutter, who called from the big blind.

Hutter: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Katchalov: {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

It was a flip, but things weren't looking good for Katchalov on the {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{j-Clubs} flop. The {J-Hearts} turn gave him some hope with a flush draw and the {4-Hearts} river actually completed it to give him the double.

In the next hand, action folded to Hutter in the small blind and he moved all in to put Katchalov to the test. Katchalov folded.

Right after, action folded to Hutter on the button and he opened for 18,000. Katchalov three-bet all in for 104,000, Hutter called and the cards were turned up.

Katchalov: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Hutter: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

It was another flip. Once again, Katchalov would come out on top after the board ran out {7-Spades}{k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

Mike Brady - Eliminated
Mike Brady - Eliminated

Action folded around to Mike Brady in the small blind and he shipped all for about 60,000. Kevin Song peered at his cards one at a time in the big blind and then announced a call.

Brady showed {9-Spades}{6-Spades} and was in dire need of improvement against Song's {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}. Brad found no solace in the {J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{4-Clubs} run out and he was eliminated from play. Brady raked in the pot and now has around 535,000 in chips.
