Silver Tells a Story

• Level 11: 500-1,000, 100 ante

Max Silver was in the big blind and it folded to the small blind who limped. Silver raised it up to 2,400 and, with a shrug, the small blind called.

The flop was {q-Hearts}{a-Spades}{3-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn card {7-Clubs} saw a 1,200 bet from Sliver called and on a river {k-Hearts} it was checked to him one last time and Silver bet 1,600. That got the job done and a few more chips headed his way.

Smith Shows

• Level 11: 500-1,000, 100 ante

An elderly gentleman limped under the gun putting in the required 800 and it folded round to the small blind who put in the 400. Dan Smith was in the big blind and raised it up to 3,000.

No one wanted to pay that much to see a flop and Smith tool it down. Determined to show he was an honest fellow and wasn’t taking advantage he showed the {a-Clubs}

Cantu and Kessler Can't Sort it Out

• Level 10: 400-800, 100 ante

We walked up to the action and Brandon Cantu all in preflop, arguing with Allen Kessler about who should turn their cards over first. "Are you guys being serious right now," a frustrated Greg Mueller asked.

Eventually, Kessler tabled, {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Cantu turned over {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}. The board ran out {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{9-Spades}{a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and Cantu doubled. The discussion continued and Cantu called the floor for a proper description of the rule.

The floor came, but before he could interject, we had another hand on our hands. A player from middle position raised to 2,100 and Greg Mueller called from the small blind. Brandon Cantu quickly pushed all in from the big blind and the original raiser folded.

Mueller thought for a while before eventually giving up what he claimed were pocket eights as Cantu turned up the {a-Hearts} and dragged the pot.

Cantu Cut in Half

[user169806] • Level 10: 400-800, 100 ante

Brandon Cantu is back to where he was a short while ago after losing half of his stack with {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} versus {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}. The chips went in preflop and when the board ran {9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{A-Spades} Cantu handed over 10,000 of his stack.

Cantu Catches

• Level 10: 400-800, 100 ante

A button raise to 2,100 saw Brandon Cantu shove all in for 9,600. It clearly posed a tricky question for his opponent but after some thought the call was made.

Cantu turned over {k-Spades}{6-Clubs} and had been looked up by {a-Spades}{8-Spades}. The cards ran out {10-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Cantu was back in the game but with a below average stack.

Allen Kessler peered down from the other end of the table and asked, "Was that suited?"

Ellis Looking For a Repeat of 2010

[user169806] • Level 10: 400-800, 100 ante

British pro Mike Ellis has accumulated a stack of 46,000 chips, which is around one and a half times the average here in Event #26.

Ellis won a $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event at the 2010 World Series of Poker to pick up a bracelet and more than $580,000 in cold, hard cash. We're sure Ellis would love a repeat performance four years on.

Elias and Jacobson Clash

• Level 10: 400-800, 100 ante

Darren Elias opened to 1,800 from middle position and Martin Jacobson called from the big blind. The flop came {3-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Jacobson check-called a bet of 2,000 from Elias. The turn was the {10-Hearts} and both players checked.

The river was the {4-Clubs} and Jacobson checked. Elias bet 4,800 and Jacobson called, but mucked after Elias tabled {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

Bolotin Shoves Goes Uncalled

[user169806] • Level 10: 400-800, 100 ante

Alex Bolotin is in push-or-fold mode and he just did the former a few moments ago. First to act under the gun, Bolotin raised all-in for 6,700 and although the button dwelled for close to 90 seconds, Bolotin's bet went uncalled and the recent WSOP bracelet winner added the blinds and antes to his short stack.
