Sim Somyung Eliminated in Third

[user133555]
We are now heads-up after Sim Somyung was eliminated in third, cashing in for Php 2,900,000.

After a raise and then re-raise all-in by Sim Somyung, we had a typical pre-flop race:

Somyung: {k-Diamonds} {j-Diamonds}
Han: {8-Clubs} {8-Spades}

The {7-Spades} {10-Clubs} {a-Spades} {a-Hearts} {4-Clubs} board did not improve Somyung's hand and he was busted out by his fellow Korean.

After Somyung's elimination, we are now in heads-up play.

Kevin Clark Out in Fourth

[user133555]
It's the end of the line for Kevin Clark, who managed to survive all this way despite being short-stacked almost all the way.

Clark pushed all-in pre-flop and got instantly called by David Hilton.

David Hilton: {9-Spades} {9-Clubs}
Kevin Clark: {a-Hearts} {9-Hearts}

The flop came out {q-Hearts} {5-Hearts} {9-Diamonds}, giving Hilton the set but opening the door for a flush draw by Clark.

However, it bricked out the rest of the way with {4-Diamonds} and {3-Spades} and we are now down to our final three after Kevin Clark's exit in 4th.

For the win, Clark wins Php 2,036,420.

Slow Into the Break

[user92162]
Things have slowed down dramatically since the last elimination.

If the players are taking flops they are checking them down the vast majority of the time.

Recently, David Hilton opened to 81,000 and Dong-bin Han called from the small blind.

They took checked the {8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop and the {5-Spades} turn. On the {k-Spades} river Han bet out 235,000 and took it down.

Somyung Claws Up the Counts

[user75032]
Dong-bin Han hasn't been afraid to play pots at any stage of this tournament. He was in there again with Sim Somyung. The action was light until the river, where Han fired out a bet of 125,000 with the board showing {6-Clubs} {K-Hearts} {10-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {6-Spades}. Somyun called with top pair {K-Spades} {J-Diamonds}, handily beating Han's pair of queens, {Q-?} {J-?}.
