Day 2 is Over, 37 Remain!

[user133555]

After seven more levels of play here at Resorts World Manila, Day 2 of APT Philippines 2010 is over!

Somyung Sim, who came into the day as chip leader, used his big stack to dominate every table he sat at, accumulating a total of 350,800 by day's end.

Sitting some distance behind him is Mike Puno, who was involved in some big hands throughout the day. None was bigger than his confrontation with Neil Arce, where he surged to more than 250,000 in chips.

One interesting thing to note is that among the 37 remaining players, there are two father-son tandems still in play. One is the pairing of Wally Sombero and his son Brian, while the other is Benjie Lim and his son Stephen. All four will be looking to charge into Day 3 with some big wins to help boost their stacks.

The last 37 players will return here tomorrow at 1:00 pm for Day 3. Check out the notable chip counts below. See you all then!
