After seven levels of play here at the ballroom of the Manila Pavilion Hotel and Casino, we are now finished with Day 1B. Out of the 109 players that started the day, 64 will still be in the running for the US $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Gordon Huntly, who shot up the chip leaderboard midway through the day, maintains the top spot with 118,000.

Also in contention with a big stack is local player Marc Rivera, who has 102,300 chips to his name.

Aside from the two, many big names are still in contention. Players like Celina Lin, Neil Arce, Jojo Tech, Jun Amito, and Alfredo Tan will all be moving on to Day 2.

As always, though, there will be big names that get dropped out of contention. Today's casualties included Team PokerStars Asia pro Bryan Huang as well as previous PAGCOR Cup champions Lloyd Fontillas and Kent del Rosario.

Tomorrow's field is expected to be even bigger as pros such as Tony Hachem, David "Chino" Rheem, Nam Le, Tommy Le, Tae Jun Noh, and Wally Sombero.

See you all tomorrow at 1:00 pm!

Benjie Lim has been eliminated by Jun Amito.

Jun led out with a raise of 3,000 from the button. Benjie then re-raised all in for 21,375. Jun tanked before he made the call.

Jun: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The flop {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, turn {a-Diamonds} and river {7-Hearts} could not save Benjie from elimination.

When asked why it took him so long to make the call, Jun just replied, "Maybe he had aces."

Eric Cheung, a past FPT champion, has just eliminated another player with the day almost over.

On a flop of {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}, Eric put 4,500 into the pot and got raised all-in by Danilo De Jesus.

Eric made the call and the cards were tabled.

Eric: {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Danilo: {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

With the two-pair, Eric has clearly ahead. However, he needed to avoid a diamond as his opponent was on a flush draw.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and the river sent another queen, {q-Spades}, to give Eric the full house and push the chips his way.

Pre-flop, a player raised to 2,000 and got three callers.

The player bet out for 2,500 and got two callers in Joey and Chris Parker.

Turn: {2-Clubs}

When the river card landed, Joey declared all-in after a check by his opponent. The other player folded and Joey showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the stone-cold bluff.
