Dutch Bites Back

On an {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{j-Spades} flop, Meinders check-raised a bet from Boyd, who then made it three-bets. Meinders laid it down, and Boyd gets a bit of his stack back.

Three Out of Four

Brian Meinders has won three of the first four heads-up pots to really tighten the screws on Dutch Boyd. He's down around 600,000 now.

First One to Meinders

On the first hand of heads up, Brian Meinders had the button, and he raised. Dutch Boyd reraised right back, and Meinders made it four bets to go. Boyd called.

The flop came out {K-Clubs} {5-Spades} {2-Hearts}, and one Meinders bet was enough to take down the pot without incident.

Albert Minnullin Eliminated in 3rd Place ($93,892)

Albert Minnullin - 3rd Place
Albert Minnullin - 3rd Place

In two successive hands Brian Meinders took all of Albert Minnullin's chips.

The first saw Meinders flop top pair, with {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and get called all the way down on a {7-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} board by Minnullin.

The second, saw the two get all their chips into the middle on a {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop. Meinder was ahead with {k-Spades}{9-}, and Minnullin would need some help, holding the {q-}{8-}.

The turn and river were both blanks for Minnullin, and he has been eliminated in 3rd place from this WSOP limit hold'em event.

Players have taken a short break before heads-up play.

Minnullin Bleeding Chips

We picked up the action on a flop of {K-Hearts} {5-Diamonds} [2d} as Albert Minnullin was check-raising a bet from Brian Meinders. Meinders called the extra small bet, and Minnullin checked to him again on the {A-Diamonds} turn. Meinders bet and was called, and he fired one last bet on the {Q-Hearts} river. Minnullin tanked and eventually mucked.

On the next hand, Minnullin opened with a button raise, and Dutch Boyd made it three bets from the big blind. The board ran out {A-Hearts} {5-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {6-Diamonds} with Minnullin calling bets on the flop and the turn. When Boyd fired his final bullet, Minnullin tanked hard for almost two minutes before surrendering his cards once again.

Those two river folds have pushed Minnullin down under 400,000.

Meinders Strikes Back

Brian Meinders raised from the small blind, and Dutch Boyd called in the big blind. The flop came {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}, and Meinders check-raised the bet from Boyd. Boyd called, and the turn was the {j-Diamonds}. Meinders bet, Boyd called and they saw the {3-Clubs} fall on the river. Once again Meinder bet, and after a minute or two of thought, Boyd made the call.

Meinder flipped over the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} for the nut flush, and it was Boyd mucked.

Meinder looks to have about 1.5 million.

Art Parmann Eliminated in 4th Place ($62,769)

Art Parmann - 4th place
Art Parmann - 4th place

Art Parmann raised first in from the small blind, and he and big blind Brian Meinders capped it going to the flop. That left Parmann with just 20,000 in front of him, which he bet dark, and Meinders called dark so we could go ahead and turn the cards up:

Parmann: {K-Spades} {J-Hearts}
Meinders: {K-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}

There was a disastrous ten right in the door, but the {Q-Clubs} {5-Spades} {10-Diamonds} flop kept Parmann hopeful as he picked up an open-ended straight draw to work with. The {2-Hearts} on the turn was an airball though, and the {8-Diamonds} river was no help either.

Unable to win his final hand with the best hand, Art Parmann has been eliminated in fourth place. He'll take home more than $60,000 for his efforts over the past three days, and that's just not too shabby.

We're down to our final three.

Domenico Denotaristefani Eliminated in 5th Place ($43,117)

Domenico Denotaristefani - 5th place
Domenico Denotaristefani - 5th place

Domenico Denotaristefani, who was extremely short stacked got the rest of his chips into the middle against Albert Minnullin on a {k-Hearts}{2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} board.

Albert Minnullin: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Domenico Denotaristefani: {a-Clubs}{4-Spades}

The river was no help for Denotaristefani, and he has leaves this WSOP event with about $40K more than he started with.
